Hockey
Stellenberg boasts 4 grass hockey fields and are co-owners of the Bellville Astroturf.  Hockey at Stellenberg is very much alive with 280 learners playing.  The coaches at Stellenberg are outsourced to ensure the highest level and quality coaching. The majority of our coaches still play and have provincial representation of some form.

Hockey (Boys) 
Boys Hockey is growing from strength to strength with 8 boy’s teams. Our premier Boys are coached by the vastly experienced Geoff Matthews. He is the coach of the Western Province U21 Men and has a wealth of knowledge and experience.  We have good Western Province Representation – in 2011 we have 6 boys chosen into various WP Teams.
Every year we arrange tours or camps for the A teams of each age group.  In 2012 the boys will be embarking on a tour to Port Elizabeth with the Premier Girls.

Hockey (Girls) 
Girls hockey is very strong with 9 girls teams.  Our Premier team, (coached by Paulene de Bruin – ex SA Hockey Player and current WPU/18A coach) won the Western Province girls Hockey Grand Challenge League in 2010 and successfully defended their title in 2011. We have strong Western Province Representation – in 2011 six girls were chosen into the WPU18A team, 3 into the WP North Zone, two into WPU/16 and six into WPU/14.
Every year we arrange Tours or Camps for the A teams of each age group.  In 2012 the Premier Girls will tour with the boys to Port Elizabeth.

Indoor Hockey
At Stellenberg we view Indoor Hockey as good pre-season training and use it in our endeavour to prepare our teams adequately for the upcoming outdoor season.
We have 8 girls teams entered into the WP League. Unfortunately there is no Indoor League for boys.

Netball 
Stellenberg’s first netball team is rated amongst the top 4 teams in South Africa for 2011. This rating is based on their participation in the first ever National Grand series tournament, where they lost in the semi-finals. Only South Africa’s 42 top high school teams, which competed regionally and then on a national level, were invited to this prestige competition.The first team won the WP and Western Cape Challenges and only lost 1 match at the national championships.  The u.16A team was runners up at the WP Challenge, won the Western Cape Challenge and ended fourth at the national championships .Stellenberg  Netball boasts with 18 provincial representatives this year. In 2011 fifteen teams were entered in the league which encompasses the involvement of 120 players.  After the league matches 9 teams took part in further play offs. Three teams were league winners and 3 won silver medals.We believe in developing our talented netball players to their full potential and in so doing, expose them to as many competitions as possible before and during the netball season  eg.  National Grand Series (NGS), Western Province and Western Cape Challenge, Paarl Girls HighTournament, Stellenberg C-F tournament, Bellville, Lutzville and Brackenfell Sports days.  Stellenberg played hosts to the teams of Punt High School and Potch Gimnasium.The Stellies hosted the annual Stellenberg C-F tournament which attracted sixty eight teams from all over the Western Cape. At the annual interschools at Durbanville High only 2 teams were defeated – each with 1 goal.

Rugby
Stellenberg boasts 11 rugby teams and competes in the Premier B league.
During the April holidays a group of 40 players toured Argentinia for a period of 12 days.
