Matric Farewell
The Grade 12 learners are resposible for the financing of the Matric Farewell themselves. Funds are generated by way of the Mother-and-daughter evening, Senior Ball, Civvie Day and Stellie Stars.
The theme for this glamorous event which took place on the 24th September was Moulin Rouge. This stunning event was coordinated by mrs Sandy van Zyl and her parent committee.
Fashion Show
The annual matric fashion show commences the day after the matric farewell. This is an opportunity for the participating matric learners to showcase their elegant gowns and stylish suits to parents and curious onlookers. The initiative makes all the glamour and glitz of the evening accessible to all those who missed the event and prolongs the good memories of the night before for the participants. The show also doubles as a fundraiser for Stellenberg Netball.
Ladies Night 2009
An evening filled with entertainment and laughter was held on 7 May 2009 for all the ladies, including mothers and daughters. The guest artists, Marike Reinke and Yolande Rabe, had guests bubbling with laughter with their hilarious cabaret called "Sê jy ek is dik?"
Senior Ball
The Senior Ball took place on 25 June 2009 in the Activity Centre. Only Grade 10-12 learners were allowed to attend. This event are coordinated by the Grade 12 Grade Heads and the Martic Parent Committee.
Sjampanjenooi
The Sjampanje-nooi competition is an annual event where Stellenberg's fairest show their flair. This year's winner was Adri Scheeres.
Stellies Stars
This is a Grade 11 fundraising project to collect money for the matric farewell. The event is organized like an Oscar evening during which learners receive prizes. The whole school is invited and this is usually a climax on the school calendar.
Exchange
As the name indicates, an exchange programme is a project where a learner acts as a host to an overseas learner who then in future acts as a host when our learner visits him / her.
To date our guests from Linz, Austria have visited us every second year. They were welcomed with typical South African hospitality and taken on daily interesting outings in the Cape Peninsula. At the homes of our learners they experienced South African cuisine and socialised with many other learners from Stellenberg High School.
Our learners also participated in the Kassel-exchange programme during the March holidays. Everyone who went to Germany found that their German improved dramatically.
We also have German twins in Grade 11 who return to Germany in June after living in South Africa for a year.
